Such crap. (I agree Tim.) Or, maybe it’s just that I don’t have the patience to remember all of them. It’s enough for me to remember that I love Jesus. And, that he died for me. I’ll just leave it at that.

YOUR GOAL IN SHOW BUSINESS?
To do the good stuff, with the people I like and trust, so that we can make a difference in the audience’s lives. To make them think and maybe sometimes cry; is quite a thrill!

The adrenaline right before and then hearing a laugh during.

I don’t have one.

Ummm….Maybe Hamlet.

Well, that is a scary thought.

Yes. I love to do that. Many of them are my truest friends.

SOMETHING EMBARRASSING OR UNEXPECTED THAT HAPPENED TO YOU WHILE ON-STAGE?:
Oh wow! Once, when I was doing Robin Hood on tour; I had a very bad cold. I accidentally shot a lugy out of my nose and onto my costume during a soliloquy. The little fourth graders at my feet said, “Ooooh gross!” And, I had to try to figure out a way to sneak backstage and GET IT OFF! Or actually, maybe it was the time that I was doing Pinochio on tour, and I had a bad case of food poisoning. After having the blanket over my head for a little too long. My pops, Geppeto – came out. I was trying to give him the look that said “I’m going to throw up.” But it didn’t work. It came to the hug…and well then I threw up all over the stage. That was when I learned what it must feel like to be Ashley Simpson. I had to leave the stage and go all the way outside so I could throw up some more. A few teachers followed me to comfort me. Hey, even Gepetto followed, until the teachers said the show must go on…and he was forced to do a one man show. (He’s my HERO!) The teachers then comforted me and got me some sprite and saltines…..there’s another story about soda and saltines. Those were my Temple Days. And it was the kindness of Billy and a vomit bucket that got me through the Tech and programming the board.

Many, many, many times. Apparently, dieing onstage is my FAVORITE.

Yes…more actually. I played Mary Lennox in the Secret Garden when I was 22.

PLAYED SOMEONE TWICE YOUR AGE?
Probably.

CRIED ONSTAGE?
Yes. That’s apparently my third favorite thing to do; with laughing being my second.

FIRED A GUN?
NO!

BEEN DRENCHED?
Yes, by the sweat and spit of Thomas Shaw, my Ferdinand in the Tempest. But, I was used to it, and I loved him!!

BEEN IN A DREAM SEQUENCE?
Probably.

BEEN KISSED?
Another favorite.

I’ve loved every one of these years. I was twelve when I began. And, like my husband says “Everyday.” A friend, Eric, asked him if he had ever seen me act (of course he hasn’t) but he said; “Everyday.” I still give him a hard time about that.

Well, what is the definition of right or left or, let’s say, PROPOGANDA!

I believe that propogana always comes from BOTH sides. And, I believe that Love does prevail. The truth will set us free.

So, I guess the real question is: who is the “us” we are speaking of. THIS is a personal question, and it will have a personal answer.

Guilt.

But, I still feel guilty. Is this normal? Some people never feel guilt, as if they believe they have no effect on the world around them. Some people live an examined life, while some people live and unexamined life. Some folks have feelers and some folks don’t. Those unexamined people who feel no pain must be boneless, and without heart. They blow my mind. My feelers shout so loud, I always assumed everyone else’s did too. I suppose I might have been wrong. It does happen, after all.

I must admit; I even feel guilty for feeling guilty. Is this normal?

Now, I know quite well that this is probably my irrational mind speaking.  But…

My life has grown a lot over the years, as I seem to continuously try to reinvent myself. The life of a gypsy full of wanderlust never lets up. You can not come up for air, you must keep moving.

Balance is my latest theme. I’m trying to figure out how to have a routine, as I know my baby girl needs one, and we all know I need one. Yet, I’m also trying to figure out how to keep creativity and art a large part of my life.
